This year we introduced some new awards. Here's a brief overview of the 8 awards categories available for 2025:


1. Best Air Quality Strategy – presented by the Westminster Commission for Road Air Quality

An award that highlights how an organisation has implemented innovative strategies or measures that have had a significant and positive impact on air quality to the public. It should be demonstrated how the organisation went above and beyond what is commonly required with demonstrated implications that benefit public health and/or legislation.

 

2. Best road/ fleet compliance safety initiative 

An award that highlights how an organisation has implemented innovative strategies or measures that have had a significant and positive impact on either the safety of staff or the public. It should demonstrate how the organisation went above and beyond what is commonly required and above usual compliance standards. Data and performance evidence to show success is essential to this submission.

 

3. Most innovative fleet management strategy 

The most innovative fleet management strategy will be awarded to an organisation that has demonstrated outstanding use of technology organisational and fleet management skills. The organisation will be able to demonstrate environmental, economic and social benefits. Data evidence in reducing Co2 and UFP particulate emissions is essential to this submission. Innovation practices must be proven.

 

4. Fleet team of the year 

The Fleet Team of the Year award will be given to a team that has demonstrated exceptional performance over the last twelve months through customer service or public service. The team should also demonstrate that it has used innovative new processes related to sustainability, emissions and waste reduction, and human resources. This award recognises teams that have overcome significant obstacles or have successfully utilised the skills of all members of the team and can demonstrate collaboration with others. This award is open to public and private sector organisations that run a fleet and suppliers and manufacturers of the vehicle industry.

 

5. Young industry champion

This award will be given to an outstanding young professional who has demonstrated a fantastic performance and implemented ground-breaking innovations within an organisation.

 

6. Innovators of the year

The Innovators of the Year will be awarded to an organisation that has demonstrated outstanding use of science, technology and organisational skills. The organisation will be able to demonstrate environmental, economic and social benefits coupled with a programme of change that has had a broader impact on an organisation, industry and society. This award is open to innovators and fleet and the air quality industries.


7. Industry personality of the year
 

This person has demonstrated outstanding behaviour or achieved exceptional results that have positively influenced their organisation, resulting in a significantly improved service to the public in the last 12 months.


8. Fleet product or service of the year

This award will be handed out to the creators/manufacturers of a fleet-related product/ component/vehicle or service that is a game changer for the end user and has been launched in the last two years. It should demonstrate proven benefits experienced by clients in areas such as sustainability, emissions reduction, carbon footprint reduction, net-zero transition, safety, cost reduction, and operational performance, underlined by genuine innovation in the manufacturing process. This award is open to suppliers, service providers and manufacturers in the automotive industry.
